This morning, head out to meet your guide and join the Crazy, Cute, Kawaii Food Tour, where you will make some delicious memories in Tokyo’s mecca for youth culture, Harajuku. Famous for pop art and fashion, Harajuku is the home of Japan’s cutest characters, goods, and yes even “Cute Food!”  Discover cultural snacks, cutting edge creative pastries, trendy sweets, and the craziest – artsy lunch imaginable. In the afternoon, stick around in Harajuku to use your Kawaii Animal Fast Pass – allowing you entry into three highly popular animal cafes (Hedgehog Café, Chinchilla Otter Café, Capybara Ferret Meerkat Café) without the need for prior time slot reservations. At each cafe visitors can stay for 30min, with one drink included. In the evening, head back to your hotel to enjoy your own time at leisure.

This morning, join the Japanese Study Experience & Tour with Japanese Language Instructor, where you will experience learning at one of the few schools that offer short-term Japanese lessons for travellers! Spend an hour learning conversational Japanese phrases, and then head out to use them while shopping and sightseeing at Tsukiji Outer Market! Following this experience, and armed with your new conversational skills, spend the afternoon freely at your leisure further sightseeing and engaging with the locals around Tokyo City.

This morning, with your pre-booked entry tickets, head off for a morning of Samurai History at Tokyo’s Samurai Museum; offering a great experience to view real armour, helmets, swords, and battle gear from 400 years ago, you can also interact with replicated armour, touching and examining the weight and materials to experience the Samurai era. English-speaking staff are available, as well as guided tours of the museum and attractions such as armour wearing experience and sword performances are available inside the museum (for an additional pay on the spot fee). In the afternoon, use your pre-paid Suica card to make your way over to Odaiba for entry to the Mori Museum of Digital Art to take in TeamLab Borderless; an installation of artworks that form one borderless world. Artworks move out of the rooms freely, and sometimes intermingle with each other. TeamLab Borderless is a novel digital art museum set up by art group “teamLab” and is popular with visitors from literally everywhere. It’s a massive installation, spanning 10,000 square meters, and divided into five worlds with about 60 exhibits among them. On top of that, there’s no map or set path to guide you, so your first visit will be filled with mystery! Make your way back to your hotel in the evening and spend free time at your own leisure.

Tokyo - Kyoto

This morning, your main suitcase will be transferred directly from Tokyo to your hotel in Kyoto. Travel on Japan’s world famous bullet train to Kyoto. Upon arrival at Kyoto station, make your own way to your hotel for check in and spend the afternoon freely at your leisure exploring Japan’s ancient capital. In addition to its many UNESCO World Heritage shrines and temples, this area of Kyoto has several other attractions that are highly recommended for visitors, most particularly the Iwatayama Monkey Park - home to more than 170 Japanese macaque monkeys, which is a species that is endemic to Japan.

Today, visit a theme park where you can experience the fantastic world of Japanese period dramas (jidaigeki films) first-hand through a variety of movie sets, shows, and attractions. Travel back in time to the Edo Period (1603-1868)! Explore the movie sets created to replicate a traditional Japanese townscape, and experience the various attractions on offer, such as shows and events complete with explanations in English. Everyone from kids to adults will surely have a wonderful time. This evening, return to Kyoto Station area to enjoy the traditional dances of the maiko (apprentice geisha). Sit comfortably by the dinner table and watch traditional Kyoto dances performed by maiko, apprentice geiko, while savouring a sumptuous kaiseki style Kyoto cuisine meal. Feel free to take a commemorative photo with the maiko before making your own way back to your hotel for the evening.

This morning, your main suitcase will be transferred directly from Kyoto to your hotel in Osaka. Use your reserved seat train ticket to make your way by Bullet train to Osaka. From here, make your own way by subway to the Cup Noodles Museum Osaka which has various exhibitions about instant noodles. You will learn about the creative thinking which inspires invention and also try making your own Cup Noodles! Following your cup noodle experience, head over to Kids Plaza Osaka for a relaxing afternoon of learning through play. In the late afternoon / evening, check into your hotel and spend time at your own leisure.

This morning, visit the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan, one of the largest public aquariums in the world. In the afternoon, use your pre-purchased tickets for entry into the LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre Osaka and immerse yourself in the world of LEGO® at this indoor theme park is packed with over three million LEGO® bricks! There are a number of attractions visitors can enjoy with their families, such as touring a LEGO® brick factory, attending a LEGO® class to learn how to make special LEGO® creations, an enormous diorama of the city of Tokyo created using LEGO® bricks, and a Duplo® playground where even babies can play safely. In the late afternoon / evening, check into your hotel and spend time at your own leisure.

※If the minimum number of participants is not met by 4 days prior to the tour date, the tour may be cancelled.
※There is a strict policy regarding tours starting on time. This is to protect the enjoyment of all our guests and restaurant partners. If you are not able to arrive at the meeting point by the departure time, the tour will start regardless and no refund will be provided.

Day 2: Kawaii Animal Fast Pass in Harajuku
※ Tickets must be printed out. For those who cannot print it out, you are able to come to pick it up at H.I.S. Harajuku Tokyo Tourist Information Centre. Our shop is located 1 minutes (on foot) from Harajuku station.

Day 3: Practical Japanese Study Experience & Tour with Japanese Language Instructor
※The tour will be cancelled if the minimum number of participants is not met. In case of cancellation, notification will be made by 2 days prior.
※If you arrive late by 30 minutes or more after the lesson has begun, your reservation may be cancelled. Thank you for your understanding.
※The tour ends at Tsukiji Outer Market. Please head to your next destination on your own after the tour ends. The return trip ticket fare from Tsukiji Outer Market is not included in the tour. Insurance is not included.
※There is no accompanying guide or tour conductor. The Japanese language instructor will accompany the customers up to Tsukiji Outer Market.

※This is an unguided plan, so please go to the meeting location on your own.

※The contents and times of shows and events may be altered, suspended, or cancelled depending on weather and operational circumstances. Depending on crowding, these may not be viewable.

Day 6: Kyoto Maiko Dinner
※If the minimum number of participants (2) is not met by 4 days before the scheduled date, the tour on that date may be cancelled.

※In general, the dance will be performed by 1 maiko using recorded music.
※The maiko will play traditional Japanese-style games with a few participants as part of the show. ※Due to tour time restrictions, the experience will not be available for all participants. Thank you for your understanding.
※Depending on facility circumstances, the tour may be led to a different venue. In such case, as the tour will need to transfer to another venue, the tour end time will be around 20:30. Information about a change in venue will be provided on the day during the meet-up, so customers are advised to leave enough time for any plans after the tour ends.
