This tour takes you through Tokyo, Hakone, Mt. Fuji, Kyoto and Nara. Often referred to as the 'Golden Route' as it is the most popular route to take especially for first time visitors to Japan. This tour is great value for money taking you through some of Japan's greatest attractions. Spend your first day in Tokyo looking down over high-rise buildings from the famous Tokyo Tower, taking a brief look at the Imperial Palace Plaza and strolling through the centuries old Nakamise Shopping District on the way to Asakusa Kannon Temple. The following day, jump on a chartered bus to visit the Fuji Visitor Centre and drive half-way up Japan's tallest mountain to enjoy sweeping views. Crawl down to nearby Lake Ashi and take a relaxing cruise on a pirate boat while enjoying the majestic views of the surrounding mountains. From Mt. Fuji wander on to Kyoto to explore the nation's previous capitals, Kyoto and Nara. While here you will visit four World Heritages. 'Nijo Castle' famous for its beautifully decorated interior, 'Kinkakuji' famous for it's Japanese garden and the golden pavilion, 'Todaiji' famous for it's giant bronze Buddha and the deer park nearby, and 'Kasuga Taisha Shrine' famous for it's unrivalled atmosphere of peace and holiness. The final day lets you wind down(or explore) on your own in Kyoto until departing from Kansai airport.
